In 1998 Anders was recruited for a new challenge in the French, stock listed Business Group, Somfy SA. As Sales Manager Solar Protection, Anders was in charge of Swedish sales force, Customer support, Technical support and IT. Web page design and development of a CRM-system were also tasks in this period.
When Somfy AB merged with another Swedish company a new Somfy Nordic organisation was formed and Anders took a newly created position as Communication Manager to practice more of his Marketing education. Marketing activities were targeting both B2B and B2C. In the Swedish consumer market the strategy was market development and to build up consumer demand towards retailers. Together with Key Accounts, Anders was leading a campaign involving national TV-commercials.
Towards dealers (B2B) across the Nordics, Anders worked with implementation of a loyalty program called “Powered by Somfy”. Anders also worked with customer magazines, Web Content Management System, ERP-system implementation and an international E-business project.
Somfy then implemented a new Northern Europe organisation and the last two years Anders worked as Market Manager, developing the Home Automation concept and the Access Business area including garage door and gate openers, home alarms, door and window motorization. The role was a mix of Product and Market Management. Anders represented Somfy in the Swedish association of door and shutter suppliers.
During the time with Somfy, Anders practiced and learned about Media, Communication, Brand building and Business in a large International organization. He also attended an international Management Development program.
2006-2017
Through the Swedish association of door and shutter suppliers Anders connected with the Swiss sensor producer Bircher Reglomat. When they needed a person to start up a new Swedish subsidiary he took on the challenge. Anders started from zero and hired staff, office and stock space and set up the business as sales focused Managing Director in Limhamn.
When Anders left the company it was well established in the Nordic market with a team of 7 people and a leading position in its field. The company is doing customized assembling and keeps regional stock. While building up the subsidiary Anders was also active in marketing and sales and the last years he was starting up sales in the Baltic states. Anders also internationally co-ordinated two global accounts with HQ based in the Nordics.
During the time with Bircher Reglomat Anders had the opportunity to build up a Swedish based company from scratch under entrepreneurial like conditions but with the safety of belonging to a Swiss company group. Among many learnings, one was how to work systematically with work health and safety.
